The Wave Masters Surf Contest is one of Jacksonville Beaches biggest events of the year, bringing professional and amateur surfers from all over the state of Florida. This years Taco Lu Mens Pro Champion for the fourth year in a row was Evan Thompson, taking home $2,500 cash. One of the best things about this event is watching the up and coming kids duke it out for their chance to take home a covenanted Wave Masters title and a signature wood surfboard trophy.
Thompson Surf School students flooded the finals placing several runner ups and multiple titles including Carl Burger, who won a ridiculous three divisions which were Menehune 12U, Boys 14U, and Junior Men 17U!! Way to go Carl!!
