The easiest way to sign up is by clicking on the “Book Now” button on the main menu. A FareHarbor booking box will pop up allowing you to select the activity and date you wish to book. You can follow the steps and book online. You’ll receive a confirmation email, and reminder leading up to your event. No! You’re never too old to learn how to surf! We teach clients of all ages and have the equipment and experience to get anyone riding on a surfboard.

To enroll in surf camp participants are required to be 7 years old and must know how to swim. The age range is 7-16 years old. Kids will be grouped together based on age and surf experience.

Mornings tend to have smoother conditions, especially during the summer months. However the surf can change day to day with with weather patterns.We have suitable surf for lessons year round but occasionally we have rough condtions during seasonal Hurricanes and Nor’easters. Surfing around high tide and dead low tide can offer fun waves on inside and outside sandbars. Regardless of tides or time of day our surf instructors are local professionals that will always put you in the best waves for learning.

For surf lessons and surf camp we use soft-top surfboards. Soft-top surfboards are safe and perform just like a fiberglass surfboards, but with more flex. We have boards as small as 5’10 and as large as 10’0. We choose surfboards for each client based on their height, weight, and skill level, but if you may request a certain size if you have prior experience. We teach most adults on a 9’0 long board and kids on either a 7’0 or 8’0 long board.

During a Surf Lesson your instructor is in the water assisting you. Surf Lessons are usually for beginner surfers who have not surfed before or still learning how to surf. The student may need help paddling out and will likely be guided or pushed into waves until they get the hang of it. They are also given additional feedback and tips after each wave. An instructor in the water can also be helpful for an experienced surf that may need help with wave selection, and positioning in the line up.

Surf Coaching is perfect for the surfer that can easily paddling out and catch their own waves, but would like to improve on their technique or learn a new maneuver. Also great for surfers that want to improve their competitive skills and strategy. During a coaching session the coach videos the student and together they review the video to provide feedback and break down the students performance.

In the past we’ve had great success with students that start with surf lessons and move onto surf coaching once they are confident on their own.

Customers who book SURF CAMP will receive a full refund with 7 Day notice of cancellation and 50% refund with more than 48 hours notice. No refund for cancellation less than 48hrs as spot will be held. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price.

Thunderstorms are a common occurrence in Florida. We take lightning and rough surf seriously. If storms are in the forecast we recommend parents or guardian stay in the vicinity incase the day is called off early due to thunderstorms.

Refunds are not offered for cancellations that are due to ocean conditions or weather. Make-up days or drop in vouchers will be offered.  Please call before dropping in to ensure availability.

Customers who book a SURF LESSON will receive a full refund with 48 hours notice of cancellation and 50% refund with 24-48 hour notice. No refund for cancellations less than 24 hours before scheduled start time.

Customers will also receive a full refund in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
